Fruit Crumble - For a Change -TryTropical Fruits

The best thing about this dessert is the Crumble, crunchy, spicy, the addition of coconut
- paired with the Tropical Fruit
It's like eating a Pina Colada...Yum
I had these fruits in my fridge but the finished dessert was so popular with the grandchildren,
that I would purchase them especially and make it again

The raw crumble freezes well, and is worthwhile making enough to keep for another day

For The Crumble
 1 cup plain flour
3/4 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
  3/4 cup rolled oats
  3/4 cup coconut
  1 tbsp cinnamon (ground)
  2 tsp nutmeg (ground)
  2/3 cup butter (melted)
  2 tsp vanilla essence

Combine flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, coconut, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl
until evenly mixed through.

Melt butter (do not burn or boil it) and add vanilla essence to butter,
Stir
Add butter mix to dry ingredients and mix well using a fork.
Ensure all ingredients are moist and mixture has a crumbly texture.

Fruit
1/2 Pineapple peeled and chopped roughly
1 Papaya Peeled, seeded and chopped
A few Strawberries
2-3 oranges juice
1 tablespoon cornflour

Place the prepared fruit in a ovenproof container
Add cornflour and mix together with the hands
Add the orange juice, stir well
Top with the Crumble
Enough to cover it entirely
Bake in 180C oven till Crumble is brown and the fruit all bubbling u, around 30 minutes
A scoop of Ice cream to top it off
Perfect
