    Porridge for Everyone’s Taste

    Dale is Getting his Oats
    But not in the traditional way!!!

    Heinzie has started making porridge for his breakfast instead of the usual toast etc and while we were staying there he made this special porridge for Dale

    We are including Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in Dale’s diet and this is a wonderful way to incorporate it and make your porridge taste amazing
    You can use any dried fruit and some fresh fruit of you wish but here is a basic recipe
    What an excellent way to start the day

    For one person
    1/2 cup Traditional Wholegrain Oats
    1 1/4 cups cold water
    Pinch salt

    Handful raisins
    Handful dried prunes
    2 teaspoons extra Virgin Coconut Oil
    Maple syrup

    Optional milk or cream

    Put oats, water and salt into a suitable Microwave Dish
    Microwave on High for 3 minutes

    Remove, stir and add fruit
    Push fruit down into oats

    Back into Microwave and continue to cook on Medium
    Till thickened (3-5 minutes)

    Remove and add Coconut Oil
    Stir and drizzle Maple Syrup over the top
    If you would like to add milk or cream to taste this to the time to do that.
